As temperatures get cooler and leaves begin to fall, we can’t help but reminisce on this past summer with incredibly full and grateful hearts. Summer 2023 was one of life-changing, forever-difference-making fun for campers, families, and staff. We can’t reverse time and do it again, but we can rewind and play it back!

There’s More to Discover When We Explore!
Over the last few months, we explored our theme “Road Trip” as we dove into Psalm 25:4-5 which says “Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your path. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” We know that road trips, much like life, can be super fun but also full of challenges. We’re all on a journey in life, but this summer we learned that we don’t have to face the challenges of life alone! We travelled along with a guy named David, who faithfully followed God and was even called a man “after God’s own heart.” As we journey’d alongside David, we learned some powerful truths about God and what life can look like when we travel with Him.
Campers learned these truths over the course of their week:
- God Meets Us Where We Are, There’s No Better Place to Start
- God is Near, Even When We Fear
- God’s Plan All Along is For Us to Belong
- God Brings Us Back, Even When We’re Off Track
- God is Caring, Let’s Keep Sharing
We were honored to serve over 27,000 campers in 19 states. Over the course of 9 weeks, we had over to 1,400 campers make a decision about their relationship with Jesus. And there’s nothing else in this rewind that’s worth celebrating more than THAT! ✝️
Speaking of our camp theme — as always, we had epic music written specifically for exploring our daily truths (not to mention some top-notch dance moves to go with it.)
It wasn’t just campers having all the fun either! Our Summer Staff also camp’d their hearts out this summer!

And if campers and staff having fun wasn’t enough, PARENTS also got in on the action at WinShape Camps for Families!
This summer we were joined by a total of 115 families at WinShape Camps for Families at Cohutta Springs, in the stunning North Georgia mountains. These 3-day getaways were crafted for the kids, and the kids at heart. ❤️ And boy did we have a good time!
A summer to remember
All-in-all, this summer was one for the record books. It was full of big-time, over-the-top moments that God used in spectacular ways to make a difference in thousands of lives. We’re forever grateful to parents, campers, and our Summer Staff who make up the WinShape Nation! We now find ourselves in a time of rest, but we’re already thinking about next summer! Registration for our 2024 overnight camps opened up on September 6th. So if you haven’t registered yet, now is the time! On top of that, we’re excited to share our 2024 theme — The Wonder Chronicles!
