This “Privacy Policy” describes the categories of information WinShape Foundation, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “WinShape”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect about you, our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing such information, and choices you may have regarding this information. As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means information that reasonably identifies or can reasonably identify you. This Privacy Policy does not apply to aggregated or de-identified information.

By using or continuing to use our Online Services, you agree to our handling of Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy, including our use of tracking technologies.
- Information Collection
Information we collect about you: We and our third-party service providers may collect the following categories of information and combine such information with other information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- contact information (e.g., name, address, email address, phone numbers);
- date of birth;
- demographic information (e.g., age, gender, marital status, church membership);
- family information (e.g., information about your children or spouse);
- medical information;
- health insurance information;
- educational records;
- professional information (e.g., employer, job title, referral sources);
- employment application information (e.g., resume, personal references);
- technical and usage information related to our Online Services (defined below); and/or
- payment and financial information (e.g., credit card numbers, banking information, donation details).
We may collect the above information and any other information you provide to us (e.g., your story, program communications, survey responses) when you:
- access or use our websites, mobile applications, or other online services or programs where this Privacy Policy is posted or linked (collectively, the “Online Services”);
- contact or communicate with us;
- request information about us or any of our programs;
- apply or register for any of our programs;
- apply for a program staffer position or other employment opportunity with us;
- create an online account with us;
- participate in our programs;
- donate to or otherwise support us, our programs, or our ministries;
- access or use our pages or accounts on any third-party social media platforms such as Meta (Facebook) or X (Twitter) (“Social Media Pages”);
- sign up for communications (e.g., direct mailings, e-mails, text messages, or social media notifications) from us;
- participate in a promotion, survey, or evaluation;
- provide or submit comments, stories, suggestions, or other content or input to us; and/or
- otherwise interact with us offline, via phone or email, or via our Online Services.
Please be aware that if you do not allow us to collect and use your Personal Information, you may not be able to participate in our programs, ministries, or other offerings.
Information we collect from third parties: We may also collect information about you from those who refer you to us or from other third parties (e.g., your family member, church, school, or employer) to supplement, update, or verify your information and/or in connection with your application for and participation in a program. Applicable law may require that you provide authorization before a third party can share with us certain Personal Information such as medical and educational records. You are responsible for deciding whether to provide such authorization.
Information automatically collected through tracking technologies: We and our third-party service providers may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to automatically collect certain technical and usage information from you when you use our Online Services, including, without limitation:
- IP address, domain server, type of web browser, and information about the computer or device you use to access our Online Services such as hardware model, operating system and version, MAC address, unique device identifiers, phone number, and mobile network information;
- real-time location data when you access the Online Services and allow our collection of precise geolocations from your device;
- pages you view, how long you spend on pages, and actions you take on pages within our Online Services;
- websites you visited before coming to our Online Services;
- mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and text entered in the course of using our Online Services;
- emails from us that you open and/or forward; and/or
- offers or links from us to which you connect.
- Information Use
We may use Personal Information for a variety of purposes, including:
- providing our programs and ministries to you;
- processing your applications and registrations;
- processing your payments and donations;
- communicating with you, your family members, or your emergency contacts;
- tailoring our programs, Online Services, and communications to your preferences and interests;
- creating and managing your accounts with us and our programs;
- seeking donations and other support for our programs and ministries;
- responding to your inquiries, comments, stories, or postings;
- improving and customizing our programs, Online Services, and communications;
- conducting research and analysis;
- enhancing and developing new programs and ministries;
- conducting marketing, advertising, and promotions;
- enforcing or applying any applicable terms and conditions and other agreements; and/or
- protecting the security and integrity of WinShape, our employees, guests, programs and Online Services.
Use of information collected through tracking technologies:
Traffic Data. Our Online Services automatically track and collect your IP address, domain server, type of computer, and type of web browser for our marketing purposes, and to manage and improve our Online Services.
Cookies. We may also use cookies, which are small text files that are stored on a user’s computer and allow websites to remember information about users (“Cookies”). We may use Cookies to monitor how our Online Services are used, for marketing purposes, and to help personalize and improve our Online Services.
Web Beacons. Certain pages on our Online Services and Social Media Pages may contain web beacons (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags, and clear GIFs), which are small bits of code embedded in pages or images on our Online Services and Social Media Pages (“Web Beacons”). We may also include Web Beacons in e-mails we send to you to learn if messages have been opened, acted on, or forwarded.
Location Data. We may monitor and/or remotely store location data to understand how you browse and use our Online Services. We use such information to provide and improve location-based features and services.
Device Information. Our Online Services may access your device’s image storage applications, with your consent, to facilitate your use of certain features of our Online Services.
Other Technologies. We and our third-party service providers may also utilize other tracking technologies, including, without limitation, “referrers” and various environmental variables, embedded script, tags, and SDKs. Such technologies are used by many online services to optimize online experiences. We and our third-party service providers may monitor visits to our Online Services and sessions of users; this monitoring may log the details of your visits to our Online Services and information generated in the course of using our Online Services such as mouse movements, clicks, page visits, text entered, how long you spent on a page, and other details of your visits to or actions on our Online Services. We may share any of the data collected by these technologies with third parties for our business purposes.
Use of Google Analytics: We use information provided by web analytics tools and services like Google Analytics to improve our Online Services. - Information Disclosure
We may disclose your Personal Information:
- to our service providers and business partners that provide a variety of services on our behalf (e.g., for the development, maintenance, and support of our Online Services and Social Media Pages, application and registration submission and processing, background checks, and payment processing, etc.) or assist us in providing our programs and ministries (e.g., facility providers, food service providers, medical support providers, church hosts, communications service providers, marketing, promotions, research and analysis service providers, etc.);
- within WinShape and our various program hosts and ministries;
- to our sponsors and partners (which include, without limitation, churches that host and/or participate in our programs) in order to facilitate our programs and ministries and for marketing and promotional purposes;
- to comply with law, a court order, or other legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;
- as may be necessary to protect the safety, property, or rights of WinShape or others;
- to enforce or apply any applicable terms and conditions and other agreements;
- to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets;
- in aggregated or de-identified form; and/or
- upon your request or in accordance with your consent.
We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
- Your Choices
We provide you with the opportunity to update or delete certain information. For example, you may:
- correct, update, or delete your online accounts by contacting us using the contact information provided in the “Contact Information” section; or
- change your choices for subscriptions and certain communications.
Change communication preferences: If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from WinShape, follow the unsubscribe instructions contained in each of our email messages. Please note that we may continue to send transactional or account-related messages to you.

Opt out of Google Analytics: Google has developed an Opt-out Browser Add-on that you may download at <https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en>.
Opt out of location services: You may opt out from further allowing us to have access to your mobile device location data by adjusting the permissions in your mobile device; however, some features of our Online Services may not work if you opt out.
Do Not Track: Your browser may offer a “Do Not Track” setting that allows you to tell a website not to track you. We do not currently take actions to respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed.
- Information Security
We have implemented safeguards designed to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. However, no method of electronically transmitting or storing data is ever completely secure, and we therefore cannot guarantee that your Personal Information will never be accessed, used, or disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
“Phishing” is a scam designed to steal your Personal Information. If you receive an e-mail, text, or any other communication that looks like it is from us asking you for your Personal Information, it may be a scam; if so, please contact us via the information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy in “Contact Information.”
- Information Transfers
If you are visiting our Online Services or Social Media Pages from outside of the United States or otherwise contacting or visiting us from outside of the United States, please be aware that your Personal Information is transferred to, stored, or processed in the United States or another country where our servers are located and our central database is operated. By providing your Personal Information, you understand and consent that your Personal Information may be transferred to our facilities and to those third parties with whom we share it as described in this Privacy Policy.
- Linked Sites
Our Online Services and communications may contain links to third-party websites and social media platforms such as Meta (Facebook) or X (Twitter) (collectively referred to herein as “Linked Sites”). We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, or content of any Linked Sites, even if you access them from our Online Services or communications, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to any Linked Sites. We encourage you to read and understand the privacy policies of any Linked Sites that you visit.
- Updates to Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the updated Privacy Policy will become effective upon posting of the revised Privacy Policy unless a different effective date is provided on the revised Privacy Policy. If we change the Privacy Policy in a material way, we will provide appropriate notice to you such as posting a prominent notice on our website or emailing you if you provided your email to us.
