Man Land | Give Mom the Best Christmas Ever

Christmas is only a few weeks away now. Not to cause a panic, but I know you still haven’t picked up that gift for mom. Me either. We are in this together. No worries. WinShape Camps is here to help you!

The key to creating a memorable Christmas for your mom is not quite as hard as you may think. Your gift just needs to hit one of three components, or as we like to call them here at WinShape Camps…ingredients. The great thing about our ingredients is that none of them require you to spend money. You can include these ingredients at no cost to you if you play your cards right.

Here we go….

Ingredient 1: Relive a Memory

Chances are you and your mom have made lots of great memories together. Whether that’s a trip to Disney or the time you went grocery shopping with her, moms love reliving those moments. It’s like you’re mom is in a constant state of #throwbackthursday nostalgia.

There are several ways to relive a memory. One way is to create something tangible to remember the moment by. You may have taken a great picture. Print the picture when your mom isn’t around and make a frame for it. You may even find an old frame in a closet you can use. If the memory is good enough, your mom won’t even notice you’ve repurposed an old frame.

Another great way to help your mom relive memories (for those of you with deep pockets) is a charm bracelet. This sets you up for success for years to come. When you and your mom do something memorable, by a charm to go along with the memory each Christmas. Moms love jewelry. It doesn’t even have to be super fancy.

Ingredient 2: Say Thank You

When it comes down to it, my mom is the best mom in the world. Well. So is your mom. At least I hope you think so. Not only do I hope you belive that, but I hope your mom believes that. If she doesn’t, Christmas is a great time to change that.

Grab some construction paper from that science project you’ve been working on and make a book of words that describe your mom. This will be something she will love and cherish for years to come. DSC_0085 Ingredient 3: Give a Break

This is a classic gift you can pull out of your bag during just about any holiday. Mom’s have a lot on their plate. They balance your schedule, along with a work schedule, a church schedule, your dad’s schedule, doctors appointments, soccer games and so much more. Help take some stuff of their plate!

Create a coupon book for your Mom. In this coupon book, include things you don’t normally help with that you could do around the house to help. That may be taking out the trash or walking the dog. It’s the everyday tasks that add up to a busy week for moms. This gift won’t cost you much, but the value is undeniable.

There you go. That’s it. That’s the way to win your mom’s heart this holiday season. If you have a little money to spend this year, find creative ways to use it to hit some of these ingredients in your gift giving.
