Back to School with WinShape Camps

Summer 2019 has been unbelievable! We’re grateful for all of our families who joined us at camp this year. As summer draws to a close, thoughts naturally turn toward the back-to-school season. Back-to-school can be filled with tons of exciting moments. Buying new clothes and school supplies, meeting new teachers, finding out which friends are in your class. But sometimes back-to-school can be a bummer… especially when you’ve just experienced the most epic summer of your life! Don’t let back-to-school get your kids down this Fall. Check out our 5 ways to put the “camp” in your campus for ideas on how to take all the spectacular moments from the summer of a lifetime to school with you.

Rock your WinShape Camps SWAG

One of the most awesome ways you can put the camp in your campus is by rocking your camp store swag. Whether you wear your Squad t-shirt, slide on those tall “WSC” socks, put a Tribe button on your backpack, or carry your shiny new fidget spinner — there’s a million ways to rep WinShape Camps on campus.

Take the daily truths with you!

There are physical ways to carry camp to campus, but there are also spiritual ways! This summer our campers learned more about a Never-Changing God by learning a few daily truths while they were with us at camp. Download this daily truth coloring sheets for your camper to color and take with them in their notebooks to school and remember that no matter what, God is never-changing.

Rewrite a cheer for your school mascot

Remember your favorite cheer from camp? It may have been a Safari cheer, a snack cheer, or even the Bobo! Take that cheer and write down the lyrics on a sheet of paper. Once you’ve done that, change a few of the words to fit in your school mascot or colors. You’ll be labeled a raving fan of your school in no time!

Carpool Theme Song sessions

One of our campers favorite parts of summers at WinShape Camps is dancing to the theme song! You learned all the motions and can sing all the lyrics. The theme song is streaming on all major platforms, so why not make a party out of it? On the way into or out of school, show off your dance skills by blasting those speakers with the windows down. Everyone will be sure to wonder just what has gotten into your campers.

Recess or Ultimate Rec?

Whether it was during a skill, Ultimate Rec, or Triangulation, your campers played some awesome games this summer. Challenge them to work with their PE teachers to help come up with some games for their friends to play from camp. Have them write down the rules and the equipment needed from their favorite game and present it to their teacher. Chances are all their friends will love playing the same games too!
