I don’t know about you, but something about this crisp fall weather — or the idea of crisp fall weather if you’re from the south — makes me feel a little bit snacky! Autumn is the perfect time to invite over loved ones and enjoy each other’s company. Whether that’s adventuring outside or getting into a pretty heated board game (any Bananagrams fans out there?) time together means many bellies to fill.
Luckily the aisles are packed to the brim with fall-inspired treats; pumpkin spice everything, harvest colored candy, and everything in between. So tempting, right?
Since we only have a few months before these treats leave the shelves until next September, why not combine all of these delicious goodies into one giant mix.
Hence, this yummy blend of all things fall.
This stuff is seriously so good, and is a treat perfect for anyone who has a sweet tooth!
I think I’m going to make a second batch of this sweet mix to put into little snack baggies to share with my neighbors to let them know how thankful I am that they’re around.
(hint: this would be a super easy way to get to know the people living around you if you haven’t had the opportunity to say hi already!)
So gather round, eat up, and take the time to enjoy all of the people that God has placed in your life. He doesn’t do anything on accident, so we need to make the most of the relationships He has given us!
Psalm 133:1 “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Fall Family Snack Mix Serves 8
- 8 Cups Pre-popped Kettle Corn
- 4 Cups Mini Pretzels
- 2 Cups Harvest Colored M&Ms
- 1 Cup Crasins
- 1 Cup Candy Pumpkins
Optional Add Ins:
- Honey Roasted Peanuts or nuts of your choice
- Pumpkin Spice Baking Chips
- Chex Cereal or Pumpkin Spice Cheerios
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and serve
- Smaller ingredients (M&Ms and Craisins) tend to fall to the bottom of the mixture, so be sure to mix well — or keep them hidden at the bottom and enjoy the extra goodies after everyone has been served!
