Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are your fees and payment due dates? The cost of camp for 2017 is $209. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required at the time of registration; this deposit is included in the total cost of camp. You may go back into your account at any time and as many times as you wish to make payments until your balance is paid in full, but no later than a month before camp begins. Automatic payments on assigned deadlines can be set up if you pay by credit card.
  • What is the cancellation/refund policy? Please Read Carefully: The $50 application fee is non-refundable, and if you cancel your reservation less than 30 days prior to your camper’s arrival, you will be refunded half the cost of camp minus the $50 non-refundable deposit. Please understand that deposits and payments are not transferrable between accounts, but can be transfered between campers within an account.
  • Will my camper need any spending money during the day? No. Our Camp Store is only open at Check-In and Check-Out each day.
  • What time is Check-In and Checkout? Check in begins at 7:45 each day, and Check-out is at 5pm Monday-Thursday and at 12:05 on Friday.
  • Can I check my camper out early? Yes, you can checkout your camper at any time. However we do not allow early checkout between 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM.
  • Who is eligible to be a camper? WinShape Camps for Communities is strictly intended for completed 1st – 9th graders by the summer of 2017. Please understand if any child has not completed the listed grade levels, they will be immediately removed from camp.
  • Will lunch be provided? No. Each camper will be responsible for bringing his or her own lunch with the exception of Friday. Friday is our “Friday Family Fun Day”, and Chick-Fil-A will provide lunch for each camper and the camper’s RSVP guests (campers are encouraged to invite parents/grandparents and siblings to camp and lunch on Friday). Monday-Thursday we will provide two snacks throughout the day.
  • May I contact my camper by phone or visit my camper during the camp day? No. Visitation is not permitted during camp. If you would like to be more involved, you may contact the host locations about becoming a volunteer.
  • May I make a request for my camper to be with another camper during the camp day? Part of the positive experience your camper will encounter at WinShape Camps is the ability to meet new campers. WinShape Camps would encourage you not to specify a certain person to share your child’s camp day as it may not afford them this opportunity for possible growth. If you feel this is the only possible way your camper will attend WinShape Camps for Communities, we will try to honor your request if campers are the same age or grade level.
  • What is the counselor/camper ratio? We have an excellent counselor/camper ratio of one staff member/volunteer to every 10 campers, allowing each camper to have adequate individual attention from the staff and volunteers.
  • How do I contact my camp location? All communication leading up to the summer will be through 1-844-WS-Camps. Once camp begins, you'll receive an email with a direct number to the director of your camp location.
