Sweet And Salty Pumpkin Seeds!

Last week on the blog, we visited Wacky Science and made pumpkin volcanoes!

But who says that pumpkins are only good for decoration or crazy experiments?

This week, we’re taking it over to Gourmet Chef and whipping up a fun fall treat that you can make while you’re prepping your pumpkin for a volcanic eruption.

Grab your apron and chef hat because this week we’re roasting pumpkin seeds with 2 different flavor variations!

Preheat oven to 350°F

Begin by separating the seeds from the rest of the pumpkin pulp.

Rinse the seeds, making sure to clean off all of the orange residue and pulp strands.

Once you have completely rinsed and towel dried the seeds, slowly incorporate oil and spices listed in one of the specific recipes below.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 8-10 minutes.

Savory Pumpkin Seeds

  • ⅛ Tsp Garlic
  • ⅛ Tsp Sea Salt
  • ⅛ Tsp Spice blend of your choice (We used Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning)
  • 1 Tsp Olive Oil
  • ⅔ Cup Raw Pumpkin Seeds

Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Seeds

  • 1 Tsp Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tsp Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Tsp Cinnamon
  • ⅛ Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • ⅔ Cup Raw Pumpkin Seeds

This tasty snack isn’t just easy to make — it’s also good for you!

Be sure to share this yummy snack with your loved ones and enjoy all of the fun flavors fall has to enjoy!
