Hey Girl World! I am coming to you live from the last full day of WinShape Camps for Girls at Young Harris. There is no doubt that this summer has really been the Summer of a Lifetime. I am sure all of you girls are feeling emotions similar to mine – sadness over the summer being over and confusion as to where the time went. I will never understand why summers go by so quickly.Today I want to talk about Bucket Lists. I am pretty sure there are some of you out there who created a Summer Bucket List for yourself when school ended back in May or June. You decided there were certain things that you just had to do before summer ended. I am sure that many of you were able to cross things off of those lists; but I am also sure that some of you still have things you want to do before school starts back. This fact brings me to today’s challenge: an End of the Summer Bucket List!
I have created a simple list with 3 things that I would like to do before the summer ends. So, here we go…
1. Fireflies. Find them. Catch them. Put them in a mason jar (with holes in the top, of course). It’s a simple thing that screams summer.
2. Sprinkler. Not the dance move, but the actual sprinkler. What is summer without running through a sprinkler or spraying your friends and family with a hose?!
3. Watermelon. It can be tough to cut (to this day, I still have my friend, Mary Ann, help me), but it is totally worth it. I believe two things about watermelon: that it was made to be eaten outside and it was made to be a prop in some of the cutest summer photos of all time.
I hope you girls enjoy every last drop of summer. For those of you I got to hang out with over the past eight weeks, I hope you know how thankful I am for you. For those of you I have not met, I hope we get to change that soon. And as always, make sure you post pictures from your bucket list adventures using #WSCGirlWorld. Love yall!
