Two weeks ago on the blog, we created Paper Plate Superhero Masks. As we are approaching Thanksgiving, we thought it would be fun to find another festive use of those paper plates: Thanksgiving Party Decorations!
If your family gatherings are like any WinShape celebration, you know that no party is complete without a photo booth!
To make this festive “thankful” banner, we started by cutting out the center circle of our paper plates. After all of our circles were cut, we mixed red and yellow acrylic paint to create the perfect shade of autumn orange and painted our circles. Once dry, we used a thick-tipped black Sharpie to letter the circles. Once all of our circles were painted and lettered, we strung our letters onto twine and hung our banner on two Command hooks!
*optional: you can find a cute leaf garland like the one pictured above at any craft store (we got ours at Hobby Lobby.)
No photo booth is complete without props!
We used more paper plates to cut out fun designs like word bubbles and Thanksgiving symbols!
This cute photo booth is sure to be a hit with everyone at your Thanksgiving celebration! Make sure to set your camera’s self timer and get a picture of your entire group!
Once your family is ready to gather around the table together, make sure to save a seat for every member with DIY place cards!
These hand-lettered place cards are super easy to make and add a personal touch to the table setup!
We started by cutting a rectangle from the center of our paper plates. After cutting and folding the rectangles in half we hand-lettered our attendees’ names using Sharpie Pens.
However you choose to celebrate Thanksgiving — whether with your family or with friends – make sure to spend time thanking God for all that He has provided and the ways that He takes care of us each and every day.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4
