Ready, Set, Play: Summer Rewind 2024
As temperatures get cooler and leaves begin to fall, we can’t help but reminisce on this past summer with incredibly full and grateful hearts. Summer 2024 was one of life-changing, forever-difference-making fun for campers, families, and staff. This summer we also got to celebrate the 40th summer of WinShape Camps all summer long! We can’t reverse time and do it again, but we can press play on our summer rewind!

It was a summer of endless wonder…
Over the last few months, we explored our theme The Wonder Chronicles as we dove into Colossians 1:16,17 which says “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” This summer, campers eyes, ears, and hearts were opened to the GREATEST, most LIFE-CHANGING story ever told – God’s story – and where we can find ourselves in it.
Campers learned these truths over the course of their week:
- God Once Made a Perfect World that we Enjoyed with Him 🌳
- But then we Turned Away and Broke What Only He Can Mend 🍎
- So He Sent Jesus to the World to Rescue me and you 👑
- Now we get to Join God’s Work as He Makes All Things New 🥾
We were honored to serve over 27,000 campers in 21 states. Over the course of 9 weeks, we had over to 1,300 campers make a decision about their relationship with Jesus. And there’s nothing else in this rewind that’s worth celebrating more than THAT! ✝️
Speaking of our camp theme — as always, we had epic music written specifically for exploring our daily truths (not to mention some top-notch dance moves to go with it.) You can keep jamming out to the “Endless Wonder” and “All Things New” all year long on Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you stream music!
It wasn’t just campers having all the fun either! Our Summer Staff also camp’d their hearts out this summer!
And if campers and staff having fun wasn’t enough, PARENTS also got in on the action at WinShape Camps for Families!
This summer we were joined by a total of 158 families at WinShape Camps for Families at Cohutta Springs, in the stunning North Georgia mountains. These 3-day and one week getaways were crafted for the kids, and the kids at heart. ❤️ Yes, you heard that right, for the first time in WinShape Camps for Families history, families were able to join us for a full week of epic adventure!

2024 was a big year at WinShape as we turned the page to our 40th summer of camp. Our story has just about everything you can imagine. There have been decades of laughter, fun and adventure. While we’ve hosted hundreds of thousands of campers, our story is just getting started.
A summer to remember
All-in-all, this summer was one for the record books. It was full of big-time, over-the-top moments that God used in spectacular ways to make a difference in thousands of lives. We’re forever grateful to parents, campers, and our Summer Staff who make up the WinShape Nation! We now find ourselves in a time of rest, but we’re already thinking about next summer! Registration for our 2025 overnight camps opened up on September 4th. So if you haven’t registered yet, now is the time! On top of that, we’re excited to share our 2025 theme — Uncharted!
