2022 Worship Speakers Announced
WinShape Camps for Girls at Cohutta Springs is unlike any of our other overnight camp locations for more reasons than one. Between its cozy facilities surrounded by a lake in the mountains of northwest Georgia and its exclusive high school girl programming, camp at Cohutta Springs is sure to take your daughter’s summer to the next level.
Another thing that sets WinShape Camps for Girls at Cohutta Springs apart from the rest of the WinShape Nation is our weekly guest speakers in-residence. This extraordinary opportunity gives your camper the chance to meet with and be mentored by spectacular women leaders in ministry. In fact, this has been such an over-the-top part of the Cohutta Springs experience that it has been one of the highest-rated elements of camp by our campers.
Continuing this tradition, we will have four incredible guest speakers this summer; one for each session of camp. To say that our speaker lineup is phenomenal would be an understatement. If you don’t believe us, why don’t you look over the bios for Summer 2022 below!
Week 1: Emily Katherine Johnson
Emily Katherine loves writing about and teaching God’s Word, especially to middle and high school girls! She lives in Rome, GA with her husband Emery where they just became parents to Hattie in February 2022! She grew up in Spartanburg, SC, attended Berry College and earned a Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She works with the WinShape College Program equipping college-aged students to make disciples. Emily Katherine published her book, Let’s Be Real in 2020 focusing on the importance of authenticity with God. Emily Katherine enjoys writing about student ministry and discipleship. She also loves cooking, cheering for the Atlanta Braves, and playing volleyball!
Week 2: Sherita Harkness
Sherita resides in Chicago, IL. She is a speaker, writer, creative director, producer, voice-over artist, and consultant. A single thread of magic is woven throughout her story – saying "yes" to following God into more than she could have ever imagined. From leaving the film and television industry to teach, adopting her 11-year-old son Parth, living several years overseas in Dubai, moving back to the U.S. and starting her own creative consulting and production business, losing her son, overcoming three years of mental-health battles, rebuilding, to writing a new adventure in Chicagoland. Sherita's heart to follow Jesus, more than anything, has taught her how to cultivate joy, courage, and freedom in even the most painfully uncertain moments, and encourage others to do the same. Sherita speaks at non-profits, churches, corporate gatherings, and various conferences across the U.S., challenging thousands of people to lean into the "more than" moments life has to offer. For it's in those moments right between the magic and the mess that we step into the beautiful beginning of a story we could never have imagined for ourselves.
Week 3: Leslie Mack
Leslie is an illustrator and musician, passionate about creating transformative experiences and environments through interactive storytelling. Raised in Atlanta, GA. her passion for the creative process paired with a passion for mentoring, designing experiences, and believing in youth has shaped how she has served for the past 18 years in various ministry roles. What began with leading worship - grew into developing large-scale summer camp programming, and leading teams that influence ministries across the country. Leslie now serves as the High School Strategy Director at Orange where she leads a team of brilliant minds influencing the faith and futures of the next generation.
Week 4: Jennifer Gwendolyn Stoltzfus
Jenn is a dreamer, a writer, and a lover of all things adventurous, spontaneous & whimsical. A typical Enneagram 7, she'll never turn down an opportunity to travel, a cup of coffee, or a bowl of ice cream. More than anything, Jenn has been captured by the life-giving Word of God, and loves helping young women walk in the freedom and grace that comes from trusting the Savior we find within its pages.
